I’m thrilled to share that my abstract has been officially accepted for presentation at the 10 Years of Netflix in South Africa (2016–2026) hybrid symposium, taking place in early 2026.
This event will explore the streaming giant’s impact on South African storytelling, filmmaking, and audience culture over the past decade. I’ll be presenting my research alongside other industry and academic voices, and I’ll also be developing my abstract into a full academic paper (6,000–7,000 words) for possible publication in a special issue or edited volume.
It’s an honour to have my work recognised for this platform, and I can’t wait to contribute to the conversation on how Netflix has shaped our creative landscape.
