After the incredible experience at the SACO Conference in Cape Town, we immediately flew to Durban to attend our second and final workshop with NFVF and Uhuru Productions.
It was inspiring to be in the same room as all four NFVF grant recipients, each of us sharing our journeys, challenges, and creative visions. During the workshop, we presented the assembly and first cut of our films, and received invaluable feedback from the NFVF and Uhuru teams.
Together, we worked out a plan of action for the second and final cuts, discussed strategies for screenings, premieres, and festival submissions, and mapped the way forward for each of our projects. It was exciting to see the next stages of our films taking shape — not just as concepts, but as fully-realised works ready to meet audiences.
Now, back in Jeffrey’s Bay, I’m focused and energized, ready to wrap up ThisAbility. The journey continues, and I can’t wait to share the final film with you all.
Stay tuned for updates on our premieres, festival screenings, and the final release of ThisAbility.
