ThisAbility (2026) | Official Trailer & Poster

After months of hard work, I’m incredibly proud to finally share the official poster and trailer for my debut short film, ThisAbility. 🎬✨

Set in Jeffrey’s Bay against the backdrop of South Africa’s taxi underworld, ThisAbility follows a young Deaf woman who accidentally witnesses a murder and is forced into a dangerous fight for survival.

The film explores themes of identity, family, accessibility, silence, and resilience through immersive sound design and South African Sign Language.

This project has been deeply personal to me — not only as a filmmaker, writer, and actress, but also as someone living with profound hearing loss. Bringing this story to life alongside such an incredible cast and crew has been one of the most meaningful creative journeys of my life.

The full short film will now begin its journey through local and international film festivals, so it won’t be publicly available just yet — but I’m excited to finally give everyone a first glimpse into the world of ThisAbility.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll also be sharing behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew, so keep an eye on our pages. 💛
