I’m officially a graduate student! I attended my graduation ceremony yesterday at Little Theatre in Port Elizabeth, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Last year was an incredibly hard year for me with my health challenges, and I can’t believe I actually made it. It was a moment of immense pride as I stood alongside my peers, knowing that I had achieved something remarkable.
Graduating with distinction and earning a spot on the Dean’s List was an incredible honor, and it felt even more special because of the focus I had on scriptwriting during my Honours in Motion Picture Medium at AFDA. The journey through AFDA was challenging, but it was also deeply rewarding, allowing me to hone my craft and gain the skills needed to pursue my passion.
The ceremony itself was filled with joy, celebration, and a sense of accomplishment, and I couldn’t have been more proud of myself and my fellow graduates. This achievement is just the beginning, and I’m excited to take the next steps in my journey as writer and filmmaker.
