My mother received more wonderful news today!
After the exciting phone call yesterday announcing that she is in the Top 5 for the Kouga Municipality StrongHER campaign, she also received confirmation this morning that she has been selected for the Top 50 (Adults category) in the J-Back ARTi Competition.
Her name has officially been released alongside the other Top 50 finalists on the Jeffreys Bay ARTi Competition 2025 – ARTi Gallery & Interiors website. From this stage, the Top 25 will be chosen, followed by the Top 15. Only the Top 15 Finalists will have the honor of exhibiting their artwork at the Wavepoint Hub Gala Event and Winners Announcement on 27 September 2025.
While I cannot share images of my mother’s painting (as per the competition rules to avoid disqualification), I can reveal its title:

It is a stunningly visual portrayal of life in Jeffreys Bay, filled with depth, meaning, and beauty.
We are so excited and proud of her achievements – two incredible recognitions in two days!
