I am elated and ecstatic — we made the front page of the Kouga Express!
This is exactly what I visualised when I did the interview with Razaan earlier this week… Front page news all the way!
What an incredible year this has been so far. ThisAbility’s journey has been nothing short of magical. Our pre-production kicked off in May, right when Kouga Express first featured an article about my grant. From there, everything began to unfold beautifully — I found my crew and actors, completed the 7th (and final) draft of my script, attended an NFVF workshop in Durban, held rehearsals at AFDA in Port Elizabeth, and finally… we shot the film in Jeffrey’s Bay!
And the year is far from over.
But for now — take a moment to read this article and see how amazing my crew and actors are. I am so incredibly proud of everyone involved.
Because filmmaking truly takes a village — and sometimes, even a city.
