I contacted the NCPD (The National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities) a while ago, and informed them of my grant that I won for ThisAbility. They’ve been incredibly supportive and excited about this endeavour. ‘We are all so proud of you and this incredible new venture. It’s truly inspiring!’ they wrote in their email. They then asked me to draft up a few posts, along with photos, that will be posted on their social media for Youth Month.

Big news from Jeffreys Bay! 
Filmmaker and disability advocate Vicki Fourie has been awarded a prestigious grant from the Eastern Cape Film Investment Fund to develop her new short film, ThisAbility.
With this win, Vicki continues her mission to amplify voices that have long been silenced. Her stories are gritty, authentic, and speak truth to power—highlighting the complexities of life as a Deaf South African.
