As a child, I had an obsession with Hollywood and all it entailed. We didn’t have the internet, so my only means of access to Hollywood was through reading Huisgenoot (YOU) magazines. However, I was forbidden from reading that ‘gossipy magazine’, but I made a plan. Every week or so, I would visit my friend’s home. They always had a copy of Huisgenoot lying somewhere around the house. I would immediately skip over to the last few pages of the magazine, which is where the celebrities and stars were displayed. The red carpet events, paparazzi photos, and photoshoots adorned those last few pages, and I drank in every page.
My sister and I were each given a scrapbook to fill with pretty pictures and photos. My sister filled hers with jewelry, wedding dresses, and houses. I filled mine with photos from celebrities. I knew my mom wouldn’t be happy with me doing that, so I hid my scrapbook from her. Only my sister knew what was inside that scrapbook, and she was loyal in her secret-keeping.
The main reason why my mom didn’t like me reading about Hollywood was that she thought I idolized the celebrities. When, in fact, it was the opposite. Something was beckoning inside of me, something calling me to the world of Hollywood. I knew that the lifestyle of a celebrity was godless, but I wanted to create a new, different path. I also quickly noticed the power of being famous, and how it meant having a platform and voice on the world stage.

During my teen years, I started forming a plan of action on how to get to Hollywood:
1. Win a beauty pageant
2. Appear in newspapers, magazines, and television programs
3. Become a TV presenter
4. Find an agent
5. Move to Hollywood get film roles
A few people had prophesied that I was going to be like Esther; I was going ‘to use my beauty to save a nation.’ I read up on the story of Esther and realized that she had partaken in a beauty pageant. This was my ticket to telling my parents that I needed to do a pageant. Before that, I had not been allowed to do modeling classes. But how could my parents say no after such strong prophetic words? I was indeed ‘born for such a time as this.’
I won Miss Deaf South Africa in 2009, and for the next five years, my career took flame. I did over 170 motivational talks all across the country, and also came in second at the Miss Deaf International pageant in 2010. I wrote two books and had columns in various magazines and newspapers. I was on over 20 television programs and was the leading actress in a national theatre production. I received three awards for my work as a motivational speaker, and I even appeared in a music video for a well-known rock band.
I was well on my way.
Or so I thought.
Having completed step 1 and step 2, it was now time for step 3 and step 4. Eventually, I would get to step 5.
But then everything started falling apart. I was stuck at step 3.
Doors were closing left and right, opportunities were canceled, promises went unmet.
Doors refused to open, doors slammed shut in my face, doors were locked tight, and doors were sealed off.
Everything came to a standstill, and I couldn’t figure out why.

In Hollywood, time and age are of the essence. You only have so much time before you’re no longer relevant. The older you get, the lesser your chances of ‘making it in Hollywood.’
That’s a lie that Hollywood sells, and for years, I believed that lie.
When I turned 26, I turned my back on the Hollywood dream. I figured, ‘Time’s up for me.’ I had had my chance, and now it was over. The incline now become the decline. I switched off that dream, and it would become dormant.
Even when I went to BSSM in Redding, California, it took a few months before I realized that I was only a few hours’ drive from Hollywood. But it did nothing inside of me. That dream was dead, long gone.

When I moved to Jeffrey’s Bay at the beginning of this year, someone told me that Jeremy Riddle visited Jeffrey’s Bay a few years ago, and he prophesied that this town would become ‘like Hollywood.’
I felt odd inside when I heard that. ‘That’s great,’ I said, not giving it much thought again.
Thereafter, I attended a watercolor painting workshop, and one of the examples we were given was one of doors. I looked at the picture and felt a stirring. A stirring of a long-lost and forgotten dream. I gave a quick look at that picture but instead chose to paint a lighthouse instead.
A few days later, I bought a new coloring book. When I brought it home, I sat at the desk and opened up the book. The first coloring was that of Luke 11:9 – ‘Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.’
The picture that accompanied the verse was a beautiful antique door. I took a risk, colored it in, and started meditating upon it.
When it was finished, I glued it into my Book of Prophecies. Maybe, just maybe, the Lord was trying to tell me something.
The very next day, my mom shared with me a Justin Paul Abraham sermon she had listened to that morning. It was about that very same verse – Luke 11:9.
She suggested I read the Passion Translation of the verse: ‘Every persistent person will receive what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.’
‘We get to ask – no, demand – for the doors to be opened,’ my mom added. ‘It is our inheritance and our birthright. We can demand it to happen!’

My amazing and fellow prophetic friend, Janey, sent me a link to a prophecy by Cindy Jacobs, James W. Goll & the ACPE, a few days later.
The topic? Doors. Of course.
‘God is finishing promises from the last generation to begin new ones. The year 2022 is going to be a year of open doors. Doors of bondage will be closed. New opportunities for jobs, wealth, business start-ups, and blessings will open, including the buying and selling of property.
There will be prophecies and things you felt would happen in 2020, but they got delayed. The spirit of delay will be broken, and when the blessing manifests, they will do so with double blessings!
The number 22 is one of the most significant numbers for us today. This year signifies alignment. February 22, 2022, will see the alignment of 2222. While we are not to worship numbers or use them as an astrological forecast numbers are significant in scripture.
Scripture admonishes us to ‘redeem the time because the days are evil.’ Satan, through his many avenues, has caused many to lose vision, hope, and ground towards the dreams that God set before them. God will help you to make up for lost ground or the delayed timetable of fulfilled purpose.
Make a list of the things Satan has stolen from you, so you can ‘recover all.’
There will be a supernatural debt retirement on property. Believe God to get you out of debt as you prepare for the future.
Expect double for your trouble!’

For so many years, I’ve had a fascination with doors. Doors, and keys. What do the keys unlock? What is behind that door? Very much like C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia, I am always like that little girl, filled with awe and wonder and curiosity as I go into the closet.
In Isaiah 22:22, it is written, ‘I will place on his shoulder the key to the House of David, what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.’
The Message and The Passion Translation takes it further: ‘He’ll have the run of the place – open any door and keep it open, lock any door and keep it locked. I will strike a blow to him as a nail in a secure place, and he will be a glorious throne of honor for his father’s house. Everything will hang on him – also the detailed daily operations of the house…’
Many websites liken this key to having the key to governmental authority. The key is a promise of unlimited power.
‘Next year will be a year of acceleration,’ my mom said recently. ‘What always took years, even decades will now happen overnight.’
I know that certain keys have been given to me. It is time to identify it and sort through the keys. It is also time to find those doors, unlock and open them wide. Doors that were long shut, doors that were dormant for so many years, doors that have been forgotten.
It is time to discover what’s on the other side.
